Airodump encryption type and filter
I found a network that, acording to Netstumbler, uses WEP-encryption. But Airodump does not show encryption type under the "ENC" collumn. Just a blank field. Anyone experienced this?
Also, when I set Airodump to only listen on Channel6, my own network on channel9 shows up too. Shouldn't it only pick up activity on channel 6? Or does this channel filter option only refer to what's written to the .cap-file? |

Could this is an actual enactment of my crazy theory about faking WEP!?
Well okay, I know its not likely, are you sure you are not just viewing another network in Airodump and to that effect Quote:
