Airodump Question (short)
Ok so I've managed to get my nextdoor neighbour interested in wireless networking now as well. So we've decided to set up a little round of Wargames.
The setup - Hardware specifics vary but basically we both have this - Netgear Wireless Routers running 128 bit WEP on 1Mbit ADSL lines 1 machine setup (wired) with apache hosting a basic single page index.html (not live to the world just running intra) 1 machine wireless used for gaming - surfing whatever (our main PCs) 1 laptop and various wireless cards (think he's just picked up a prism2 off eBay) ************************************************** ***** So round one is breaking the opponents WEP key - round two accessing data on the gaming machine - and round three accessing the apache server and changing the index.html ************************************************** ***** My only real question is when using Airodump to sniff for IVs (which are spilling out all over the place) is there anyway to stop it concurrently sniffing the other networks in the area; there are about 8 others that are not to do with me and my friends games.... I've tried adding MAC filters when starting Airodump but it still sniffs all the nets, is there a particular format when adding filters? I've tried 00:00:00:00:00:00 and 000000000000 but no go.... How would I filter out multiple MACs at once? |
