Can this be done in Map point ?

I would like to load all my stumbler maps to map point and have them on a website, not just a stactic page but the ability to pan zoom and drill down to a specafic location.

Everything's possible, you could def do it in flash but it might take some work . . . Java would be possible too . . .

Mappoint cannot do it. You'll want to do some research on GIS (geographic information systems) if you want to do something like this on your own.

If you haven't already, go take a look at the WiGLE site. That can do what you want via Windows or Java clients.

Yes it is possible, but not cheap.

Ohh I wasn't aware of this. Looks interesting, but as you say, expensive.

I said it was possible so I played around with flash for a few moments . . .

Just a start, but what do you think?

That's nice. I like it.

One problem though, how can you easily update this map? Also, the map rotates around a fixed central point, not the centre of the viewed screen; no biggy though.

To update, it would only take a few moment's to plug in a new map, can't really add to it, just use a new updated map . . .

Cool, I guess you've scorred. Just do a new mappoint map and throw it in. Well done.

feedback:

Zooming in too far is really cool, the towers shake and wobble and it slows down loads. I took it too far though:
