External Traffic

Hallo everyone..

(I hope this is the right place to post my question. If not my apologies)

I have currently managed to gain access to my network using airodump/aircrack/802ether/ethereal. However, in order to make the process of sniffing faster I have used ICMP Ping Flood in one of the network clients. This helped me to capture the required packets in less than an hour. My question, is there a software or a another way to increase the traffic externally and not from a client within the network? For example lets say that I dont have access to the network and the traffic is very low how can I flood the router. I have tried to use ICMP from the laptop while I was capturing the packets but it dont work. I hope my question makes sense (english is not my first language) and I am also a bit new in the area.

Looking forward for some answers ..

MaGus

You don't. If you don't own the network, it would be illegal to take such action. You will not get any help here. Read this: http://www.netstumbler.org/showthread.php?t=9896
