Great wlan terrain software

Hi All, this is my first post and as far as I can tell this is the place to tell everyone about useful software for windows. Anyway I am currently trying to establish a small wlan around where I live and I have found a program called 'Memory-Map' which uses Ordnance Survey data to show all the usual map information you could want and more importantly has a 3D function as well. You can use this software to quickly gather topographic information and it also allows you to plot a route between 2 or more locations and then displays distance and a 3D profile of the route. It's not cheap but is available from various sources (apparently) for free.

Hope this proves useful to some of you...Cheers Johnniew

PS Anyone living in my area and wanting to get involved in a wlan please get in touch, I already have a 15dbi omni and a d-link 54mbps AP on my roof!

Welcome to the site

You got an url for that prog?

Good luck with the community project. You listed on consume.net?

As you're in blackpool, you might be the UKs most northerly wardriver. Cool. You should head over here for some fun.

Memory Map

Well it say that you can use it with GPS devices: "importing a GPS tracklog back into your PC and overlaying it on a map of your choice."

does this help?

Radio Mobile is free but the documentation is almost non-exsistant. Very steep learning curve. There's a Yahoo group for users but I am under the impression that all Yahoo groups exist solely for the purpose of trading goat and eel pr0n.
