Interest in a Step-by-step guide making DiGLE Mappacks (mainly for european users) ?

If my fellow oldworlders are interested, I'll jot down a guide in creating DiGLE/JiGLE mappacks based on maps from the GPSVisualizer site and post it here.

Just my 0.02€'s worth...

Okay, writing it now..

Seeing as you were the only one to reply, I might as well use your location as the basis for the tutorial mappack. You are in Cardiff, correct ?

I already made a mappack for Copenhagen (screendumps available on wigle.net's forum in the following thread), as well as for the Isle of Amager where I reside, and as I hate to do work that has been done already, then if you could provide me with a lat/lon for a location there, I'll build the mappack for you, and PM it to you when it's finished.

I'll build it with that lat/lon as the center point and go 15-20 km N/S/E/W from that point. Should give you a lot of the AP's you yourself have detected in that area.

wiki it just a little bit

if you'd like to link it into the wigle wiki here, when you're done, that would rule.

DiGLE and Dutch's guide.

due to your charming propensity for swapping ',' for '.' in your windows settings (yes, yes, grew up in belgium, lived in france, know that it's US who've got it backwards), you'll find a DiGLE 0.1.1 coming out in the next few days that'll be necessary for anyone using ',' as the decimal delimiter natively. If you need Dutch's guide, you'll likely need this version as well, so keep watching the download page/news, and we'll have it to you as soon as we can (bobzilla is literally at the point of physical collapse from exhaustion, so i'm not asking him to add my download tonight)

good luck and keep on stumbling!

-rksh

PS> props to Dutch for doing all the legwork in isolating the bug
