ip resolution program?
I am looking for a no-frills utility that can resolve a ip address from a mac address. I know such tools exist for for linux(arpping), and some pricey suites for windoes that have a million and one extra things that I dont need. Any suggestions?

Also, are there any perl scripts that do this?

I found this arping in perl but I have not tried it yet.

Are you trying to see who is tapping on your door via a mac address?

or are you looking to see who is who on your network via a mac address?

if all you got is their mac address from something like airsnort, and they did not get ON your network, then good luck
