Only 64bit encryption possible ?
Hi ,
Since a few weeks i own a laptop which has a build in PRISM wireless card. Together with this i am using an AP2000 access point from Orinoco. I was using WEP encryption with the highest encryption possible - which was according to my AP 152bit. Everything was working fine - till i decided - after some reading that i needed WPA. Looking for other drivers and firmware i was able to find some newer firmware and updated it. Everything was still working fine. As i started installing different drivers - i suddenly was not able to use more then 64bit encryption ! And no WPA - only WEP. The WPA is nothing i worry about - as i still need to get a different card for the Orinoco i think to make that happen. Anyhow - now i thought i might have messed something up with the driver for the PRISM card . So i am testing now with a Cisco 350 card - but it is the same ! When using anything higher then a 64bit key - it just wont let me connect ! I figure it must be something in the registry or the like ? I dont know anything anymore - the keys have been checked and rechecked . But i just cannot make it work . Any suggestions would be most welcome ! Cheers , Albert |
