I recently bought a Proxim (ORiNOCO) 11a/b/c ComboCard (8480-WD) because I thought that I could get noise data from Network Stumbler. When I first installed the card I used the drivers from the CD (2.X) and Network Stumbler worked, but there was no noise data (always -100). So I went to proxim's web site and got the latest drivers (3.1.2.19). Now Network Stumbler doesn't recognize the card at all. The wireless card is actually working on my network.
Anyone have any ideas how to get this working? |

It's ain't gonna work, no way no how. Buy the right card, and it will work.

2) You won't get noise data with that model. Cards based on the Hermes chipset, like the 8410-WD, will report noise data just fine. |
