that sucks, i have a presario with built in wifi and it works great. i have found 15 acesspoints that were not on the schools map.

For whomever suggested winc, it works and is so far the only thing I've found that works. But it doesn't have the sounds like Netstumbler, and that's important to me in the end (so you can just turn it on and drive around until you hear a high note.)

Okay, now that Netsumbler .4 is out, which works on my machine, there is no reason for me to use any other sniffer. Really, nothing else compares to Netstumbler, and now that the new version has support for additional cards (including mine), I loudly advise that anyone who is reading this post for the purpose of finding other sniffers give up.
