Please Help

Hiya there,
(I am not sure if I have posted in right forum, so MODS please move if needed) I have a network setup and I wanted to see if I could crack my own WEP. I am now really intrested and I keep going to give up, but then I think I will have one more go. I have heard about Aircrack and some other apps but I can not run them, I dont know if it's my Wireless network card is not compatable (Manufacturer: Billionton Systems - Model: Ralink RT2500), but I thought with my laptop only being bought last year, it shoulsd work, but I am not sure. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 and would prefer a Windows App. I do have Ubuntu (Linux) installed on my hard drive, but prefer to use a Windows app, but if needs be, a Linux version.

So basically I would like to know if there is a app that will crack my WEP which will work with Windows and my wireless network card. THANKS for any help in advance.

Your going about it 'bass ackwards.' Choose the software, and then buy the hardware to work with the software.

What kind of AP are you attempting to crack, cause some of them can't be.

... and they always want it to work with some PoS $0.99 "wonder card" that is NOT listed as supported by any of the software they are trying to use.

Hence, the "bass ackwards" notation.

My perspective is probably skewed since I've been dealing with computers for so long*, but the whole "choose the hardware based on the software" is hardly a new concept. Is this just new people who think Windows XP is the only OS the world have ever seen, or are regualr users missing a critical point in their training?

*No cracks about abacii, Babbage or Lady Lovelace.

Can we make cracks about you inventing the Antikythera Mechanism, or pointing out the flaws in the Roman numbering system to Plato?

Oh, that's one of the ones that can't be cracked.

You're not really going to find much information on why, but it's basically because of an underlying phase shift in the packet vortices.

Must be due the excess tachyon particles generated in the processor masking process?

Yeah, although the OP might be able to find an Inverse Packet Scheduler that he could run on his machine that just might be able to overcome the phase variances of the packet vortices.

I heard the Inverse Packet Scheduler would only run on the Intel-6 chip?
