Precompiled download for Airsnort on Windows

For those that don’t know how or have the means of compiling airsnort. Airsnort is a WEP cracking software primarily for Linux however instructions for compilation in windows are also provided on the developers’ site here
Couldn’t get this to work for me unfortunately with a Linksys WUSB11b v2.6.
It pales in comparison to the Linux version.

Too bad shmoo hasnt worked on the windows port much recently. Ive tried a handful of compiled versions of the windows port but I havent gotten any to work.

Now if I can just figure out why my monitor mode patch wont compile, then maybe I can get it workin in linux. Then kismet will work properly and I wont have to use windows for wardrivin

have you tried something precompiled like knoppix STD, for instance? just burn the ISO and boot the cd and you can run kismet w/o any hassle.

Yeah, knoppix is a great distro. Don't expect kde to work, but fluxbox will do just fine

You're in the wrong place to brag about your l33t exploits against an unsuspecting neighbor or open access point. Feel free to do whatever the fuck pleases you, just don't bring it here. No more warnings.

You might wanna consider this.. if she suspects that you have a wifi card and were using her wifi, then she might have the smarts to detect YOU, possibly get the MAC of the card and ban it....

I use AirSnare on my windows network and it reports to me all MAC address's on my network and can even serve up a custom message to any ROGUE mac telling them to "GO AWAY" . You can even have a "trusted/approved" list of macs that you can monitor. Also.. depending on your broadband wifi router, you can lock out MAC's as in the case of my 614+ from Dlink. Using Firmware 2.20 I can set filters to allow ONLY the MAC's I have set in it..so even if you were to detect my wifi (which the SSID Broadcast is OFF, using 256 bit WEP keys, static DHCP with no spare IP's in the DHCP pool) and program in an IP, you would still not get on.

Does this sound paranoid? maybe.. but look at it this way.. ANY wardriving ns or kismet file you want to look at will reveal that on average 60-70 percent of wifi out there is not locked...

Its not just today...It's everyday and thats the way i like it, stops the forum from becoming like every other forum with skiddies asking about how to hack hotmail and braging when they manage to get a trojan on someone elses computer.
