Unhappy sniffer pro-wireless sniffing not working?

I'm using sniffer pro 4.70.04 and I cant seem to sniff packets unless I am connected to the network. My network has wep and mac filtering enabled. Is there any settings I shoudl fiddle with?

If it's your program why not go to the deveolpers website and ask them? I am almost positive that they can help you.

I don't know if this thread has reached a logical conclusion but...

Yeah, it's win XP, there is no promiscous driver for it, you can only sniff an AP you are associated to.

Damnit.

Have you tried the included NAI/Lucent card driver, used for
Win2000??? Maybe it will work / Maybe it won't. Ya won't know
until you try.

yeah i pretty much found that wireless sniffers for xp are useless. I decided to boot into linux and it captured pretty much every single floating packet from the air with the prisim 2 drivers.

If only I could get all my multimedia working right then I'd stick to linux. =\
