SSID Sniffer?

Does anyone know where I can get a Windows SSID sniffer or packet sniffer? I need to monitor my sons actions on our network at home and hes begun to use wireless and refuses to grant me access.

I hope you're kidding with that last line, or you've got bigger problems than a sniffer can deal with...

In any event, there are no free wireless sniffers for Windows. You can pay for one, starting at about $4000.

Refuses to grant you access? Sounds like it's time to pull the plug! Grow some nads and yank his access...

Knoppix-std, phlak, warlinux, are live cd distros that are built to run from your cdrom drive and are set up to do what you want.

I'd like to find out exactly why it is he's being so secretive about it, I'd prefer to monitor him.

Hmm, unfortunately I'm out of CD-Rs at the moment. Can I use a bootloader and put windows and linux on the same partition some how?

How is your network set up? Integrated router/Ap or separate units?

wrzwaldo makes a good point. Install a small hub as a vampire tap on the wired side and run Ethereal.

Plus the download doesn't work with EXE files.
