StumbVerter "9 Subscript out of range"

Attempting to import 6484 logged APs.

Condition:
I have list1, and StumbVerter works fine.
I have list2, and StumbVerter works fine.
I merge list1 and list2, and after around 3 minutes StumbVerter gives this error:

---------------------------
StumbVerter
---------------------------
9 Subscript out of range
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Mother is this an error messge you recognize? Or has anyone else seen this? Is it because the AP size?

Thank You

I believe that's fixed now...

I've sent you a PM with my email, if you send me the file I'll check the bug out - I think it's fixed, but I'd like to make sure.

All the best,

Mother

Question Tips?

Greetings, I have created a new Summary file after merging and exporting the latest MasterList with a total of 8545 APs, and I am receiving the same error.

Mother, any hints as to where I could start looking to see what the app is talking about? What/which subscript is out of range, do I have an illegal value somewhere, or are there simply too many aps?

This error message does not occur if I have an older MasterList with 5186 aps, and the latest exclusive weekly lists at 1613 aps and 2623 aps all seem to import fine alone, though merged I get the subscript out of range error messge previously mentioned.

It would be great to get a picture of all 8545 APs all at once, even though it takes a few hours to render.

Thank you for your time!

The unit I am using for the render:
Intel Celeron 650 MHZ
340 MB Ram
160 GB Hard Drive
Windows XP Pro

No other processes ongoing at the time of rendering other than StumbVerter.

Mother explained the MP2K2 pushpin creation takes ages here:

Also I am not sure if null SSID fields cause an issue, but after I export I replace all null ( ) fields with
( %BW_UNDEFINED_SSID% ) otherwise it appears that when clicking on a null ap, it doesn't work too well, as well as cutting off the rest of the aps that follow the null field value. Also sometimes there is a blank ( ) value in the SSID field and I look for these as well and replace them so this does not cause the same issues the null SSID. (one has more spaces in it than the other).

Just to also mention here NS exports ???? for where usually there is BBS always when there is a null field, and sometimes at other times.

If this isn't done after the NS is exported the AP list will appear a lot shorter than it really is because it is stopping at these illegal values. for example in one merged file it appeared that I was missing 4 states of aps... then I applied my above fix and all the aps came back.

I wish I could fix this subscript issue just by doing a modification or two to the summary file as described above.

In reply to the above posts...

The first release of StumbVerter supports 5000 APs with GPS, as the memory array I dimensioned for this is only 5000 large - I didn't think anyone would get more than 5000 APs, at least before I released a version capable of merging files into a single map, etc.

So, now that I have to release the next version (I've set an array of 25000 elements), how many APs would you think will be eventually imported? I suppose I could resize the array dinamically, but that's a lot of changes in the code, and it's going to take some time, and I've got a family to feed .

Regarding the extended summary support, it's not done at the moment, but plans are for being able to import all data for a particular AP and plot it, to create some form of signal map.

All the best,

Mother

Thank you Mother! Good info to know. Thanks for upgrading the number of elements for the next rev. I have a knack for breaking things. At the current rate it has only been a few weeks to obtain 8,000APs... I could see that growing pretty large pretty fast... we shall just have to see.

At the current rate of pushpin creation(rendering) I couldn't imagine how long it would take to wait for a 25K AP import.. yikes!... Thanks for everything!

Hehe - blackwave, do you ever sleep?

All the best,

Mother

P.S. BTW, how do you manage to keep posting so much AND find 8000 APs? Man, you must run on kerosene or something

Sleeping... , I think I take quick naps better than sloth-sleep... I think I sleep when people blink, so it is unnoticed to the naked eye.

Oh, that is all in the wrist... Actually through the NS1 trading mechanism I set up a few weeks ago AP accumulation has worked rather well. It is a collective effort to gather as much data as quickly as possible.
