StumbVerter problem

I just started trying to import into Mapoint through StunbVerter, but each time I try I get the following error:

62 Input past end of file

Anyone else seen this ?

tapper451,
Using StumbVerter is straight forward. First, export your NS file to summary format. Second, open StumbVerter, create map, for North America or Europe. Then import summary file.

The StumbVerter will do all the rest.

By the way, I'm assumming that your data with GPS record.

If you want me to test your data, send me your NS file to thewatcher@wardriving.info email.

Regards.

With the older version of StumbVerter it is possible that you may have a blank SSID that will not be handled well.

Open up your summary file and replace your blanks SSID's with something like (%BLANKSSID%), the newest version handles it fine, so there is no need to this.

Resolved

Thanks Watcher,

It was a simple issue of wrong export format and an entry with a blank SSID. The readme suggested wi-scan export, but that would not populate the AP list, I tried summary as suggested and got an error. I then removed 2 entries that had blank SSId's (something I had seen referenced on the board) and it worked after a long delay. The delay isn't supprising, I'm running on an old 266 that is my wardriving laptop.

Thanks for the help !

With the blank SSID, put something else like "test" so you won't lost the data.

blank SSID

I've got about 800 in the NS1 I'm mapping so I'm not worried about loosing one or two. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll use that for the next map run I do. I sent you the .NS1 in e-mail if you want to play with it.

I discovered an error with Stumbverter:

Initially I had very few AP's show up in the resulting maps, but after correcting the no-ssid points, there were still several points left that were not listed.
These places do have GPS locations and SSID's.

Once I select one of these points from the list on the left, an error shows up in a foreign language (italian or spanish or something)

The error that shows up is the following:

Quote:
Error '91' en tiempo de ejecución :

La variable de tipo Object o la variable de bloque With no está establecida
Does anyone know what it means (translate) and if possible try to solve it?..

Carnager,
If your data is combined with different date of stumbling, I suggest that you remove all date excepts the first date in the header. Make sure no blank SSID, if you have put something any text. The file is tab delimited.

Send me your data if you want me to check it.

Cheers,
TheWatcher.

I ran into this exact problem (though English) back a while ago you can check here for the thread and how to fix the issue:

NetStumbler.com Forums > NetStumbler Forums > Help > StumbVerter crashing when Files merged
http://forums.netstumbler.com/showth...&threadid=1760

Here is the translation:

---------------------------
StumbVerter
---------------------------
Run-time error '91':

Object variable or With block variable not set
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Did both things and it didn't help. I sent you the file in it's current state.
Try for example the accesspoints named:
wiresmallingerland
contactweg
sarapub

Darnit, just as I scrolled trough my test file once more, I found out the problem...

Next to no SSID entries, it also doesn't accept entries with only one (and maybe more) space character...

Argh..

Oh well, good to know it now anyway, sorry for the trouble.. Anyway, it now works..

I hope the next version of stumbverter will correct these problems by itself, would be a great function instead of going trough the file by hand.. More even when it starts growing very big..

Anyway, thanks for your help!..

Good to know everything working fine now. Remember TAB spacing only.
