Lightbulb StumbVerter V1.5 with MapPoint 2004 support released

The new version of StumbVerter has been finally released. It adds some new features and bug fixes, the most important being:

- Added support for MapPoint 2004. Please note that due to the differences in map handling between versions of MapPoint, StumbVerter V1.5 does NOT support MapPoint 2002. This support will require much more code to implement than simply upgrading to 2004, so it will be added in the future. If you don't have MapPoint 2004 available, please keep beta 5 until the next release.

- Added scripting, which enables batch processing large amounts of log files, automatically generating the maps and image files, etc. Details in the .zip file docs.

- Added three-level boolean filters, to show/hide APs based on certain criteria, such as signal strength, SSID, WEP status, etc.

- Fixed various bugs reported since beta 5, amongst which is the dreaded automation error, caused by a buggy installer.

Please find the download here

Comments are welcome, enjoy!

Any ideas would be great. Thanks

(ps, the title on v1.5 still says for MP2002.)

Import bug

Hi ThreePts,

Could you send the exact same text file that is causing the problem when importing to bugs AT sonar-security DOT com? It would really help to get the problem fixed.

I'll also change the title, thanks for pointing out such obvious blunder

Regards,

Mother

Thumbs up

Just for the record, I have been using Stumbverter 1.5 and MapPoint 2004 with no problems. Great job integrating them.

Is it possible that a copy of the old StumbVerter could be placed somewhere. I now have dug my old MapPoint2002 out of the closet and can use that in the meanwhile. Thanks.

Hey threepts, I found some older versions as I plan on using it with MP2002. Not sure which one is best .

there was v100 beta 5 (I downloaded this)
also v150 (this sounds more recent)

then there is the v1.5 which is on the official site which only works with 2k4.

Mother: I installed mp2002 on my laptop with the old version of stumbverter and it didnt work either. Using the same setup on my main computer it works just fine. So it appears to be an isolated problem of my own.
