Using NDIS on Windows98

Hi
I have a belkin wireless usb adapter 802.11b
It works fine in XP with netstumbler using Ndis
but I want to use it on my laptop cause i dont have a cardbus card and IS there a version of NDIS for Win98?

I tried searching for "Belkin" and "Usb" i forgot searching for "Ndis"

no problem, honstly, save up $40 and buy a supported card with antenna jack off ebay. Cant beat the price of a dell truemobile 1150!

I guess your right whats the point trying to get unsupported cards to work anyway :P

For some reason I always buy the wrong things or have the wrong equipment anyway!

I started with an unsupported card too, still use it, but yea it's better to get a supported one. and the time is no big deal, its only 8pm here

If you wish to continue down the orinoco gold or silver route, you can buy USB versions cheaply from ebay. Many users here have done it, they can be found with a quick search. "USB orinoco" ought to do it.

EDIT: Took me ages to downsize the picture and in that time there was another post.. Do these usb orinco cards support netstumbler???

Cool well the reason i wanted to use netstumbler was for signal strength testing of a 5 or 10 km link so that i can join a network called DDWireless in my area so I just have to use the built in monitoring software of the card although it doesn't give me all the info I want.

To link in I am using a Minitar Access Point (minitar.com) with an old austar antenna which i have cut the down converter off.

yes, or, at least, netstumbler supports them. Either way, it works, and has done for quire a while. Nice setup by the way, community wireless projects do rock the cazbhar.

only one problem.. i think I got a bad connection somewhere I get varying results with the belkin monitor software

You got that right! Two days ago I bought an 1150 off ebay for $41 total, that includes shipping. Can't wait for it to arrive!
