Only if you're downloading pr0n, and illegal mp3s and movies. g8t recommends downloading pr0n movies with cheezy soundtracks to do all three at once.

Dutch has done a great job on this. It is really awesome.

Hey Dutch, nice howto - would be nice if it'd be a bit more visible that it actually is MY php script, but anyway, I like seeing my script in use.

I have said that its your php script, see the original thread referred to in the first post. All copyright/left/ownership remarks are still present in the script. And as posted on your own blog, advised you about the posting of it as well as the minor changes I've made to it. If that isn't enough, I'm sorry.

Philippe,

Your script is pretty cool. In the thread where Dutch originally posted your script (here), he wrote:
Quote:
To produce a KML or KMZ file from kismet xml and gps files, there are several solutions available. I'm using another self revised version of the php based converter made by P. Niquille, and posted on www.niquille.com.
I like this one because you can use it to visualize the coverage by any specific detected network, based on the data from the .gps file...
This was the first time your script was mentioned and it is clear he did give you credit. He also left intact:
PHP Code:
Kismet to kml (Google Earthlog file converter alias "Kismet Earth"
Released by Philippe Niquillephilippe at niquille dot comwww.niquille.com
You might not have seen the original thread, so I just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Again, nice work on the script.

It's a cool script. I'm working on integrating it's concept into my program, although there will be no php just the basic concept of the polys. Will mention you in the credits though for the concept.

Great stuff...the pan & tilt is excellent!

Is anyone working on a inverse distance weighted or a scatter plot or a interpolated power option?

Doing a scatterplot shouldn't be to hard to incorporate in the php script. It is allready reading all the gps-point data from the .gps file. You just need to output it to the kml, as a point to plot. I'll have a go at it, when Dell returns my C600 from the repair center.
The interpolated power option and the inverse distance plots could also be added, but probably would take some more processing time to do. dragorns gpsmap program from the kismet package does a good job with the interpolated power plots, but also takes its time to do it. As the algorithms is available just by perusing the gpsmap sourcecode, it shouldn't be to hard for the so inclined to implement that feature in the php script.

I don't think a php interpreted app will be any faster than dragorns C++ coded application, au contraire.
