wep crakcing through an outdoor client

Hi folks,

Me and my friend have a wireless conecction. He has a Linksys AP and I pick up the signal with an outdoor client based on an Edimax brige with marvell 88w8515 chipset. I connect my desktop PC via UTP to the outdoor client.

We´d like to do some wep cracking experiments. The scenario would be my friend using WEP in his AP and me trying to break it.

I keep finding sites that only advise doing so with PRISM based wifi cards...
Nothing about my good old 10/100 NIC + outdoor client so I´m begining to think this can´t be done.

So...can it be done with my configuration or not?

Regards !

This kinda just sounds like you're trying to hack a friend's WEP encrypted AP..

No, not unless you have a way of getting the raw traffic from the bridge into a pcap compatible dumpfile.
