wg511v2 under win98 - config locks up
Hello.

I'm having trouble getting my netgear wg511v2 to work. I am running windows 98se, and it seems to have installed fine, but when the configuration window is activated, my computer completely freezes, and I must hard reboot the machine. Any suggestions? Anyone seen this problem before?

Really? A wifi card doesn't work in an OS that was written over 8 years ago and was unstable on good days?

Many apologies. Their tech support does seem to, um, not be very good.

Actually, many people have used wifi on windows 98, so I'm not very sure why this would be 'shocking'.

...and it's more stable than other versions of windows. That might be preference...or it might be that I've got it configured properly...heh.

I'll have to call Bovine Excrement on that one. It may be more stable that ME (Missing Everything), but that is about all.

Even the Amish have updated long ago.
