Windows AP mode
Is there anyone that has had experience with Segue's SoftAP software. Apparently it allows a windows computer with a wireless client card to perform as an access point (similiar to HOSTAP mode).? Does anyone have access to the software for evaluation purposes?

PCTel link not working
I checked several diffrent searches that PcTel has dropped it's link for the SoftAP file. I have probably missed it in my searches, Yet, non of the PCTel partners that signed agreements for the SoftAp seem to have the SoftAP avilable either
Is there anyone that knows of a link still active with SoftAp still on it. I would greatly apreaciate any assistance. I would like to demonstrate "Evil Twin" on windows as posted previously. I have aquired the other programs. Thank you for your time |

Windows Host AP mode
Several vendors are now supplying SoftAP (Host AP mode) utilities with their wireless adapters, notably ASUS and GigaByte.
I've tested the ASUS WL-107G and the ASUS WL-138G SoftAp support and it works just fine. The PCTEL SoftAP was discontinued a few months back, but it also worked ok. There is a How To file on this topic here: http://www.nat32.com/nat32e/htm/asus.htm Chris. |
