cowpatty for OSX

Anyone feel like compiling a binary of cowpatty for Mac OSX? What I really need is just genpmk. My macbook has more processing power than any of my other machines and want to put it to use. I dont know enough about what needs to be done. I'm new to macs. (call me a noob but isnt os x based on debian? so the compile would be similar to linux make install?)

No, OS X is based on BSD. It's Unix, not Linux. AFAIK cowpatty won't work on a mac, which does suck, almost all of my macs are faster than my linux machine.

what about just the genpmk portion? or another program for osx that will precompute the hash tables? OH, and i just downloaded xcode (c compiler)...I have no idea what i'm doing but cant I take those .c files from cowpatty and have xcode create a binary file?

Go read ALL the posts in the Welcome Desk section NOW. Pay particular note to the thread regarding using proper written English on the forums. That means capitalization at start of sentences.

You won't be warned again!

I think I got a Performa LC-575 in the equipment shed.. You can have it, if you come and pick it up. It's in working condition.. Then you can ask Barry to compile cowpatty for Mac 68K, and itsnotme for which WiFi card to use on a PDS-bus machine.

See that would be perfect! I know so little about a Mac that I have no idea what you just said. Get ready Barry and itsnotme!
