Ask the college administrators
There is no way to retrieve the WEP key once it's been entered. This is a security precaution built into the software. You'll have to go to the admins and ask nicely.

This is not always true... With my Card Manager, I can type in the 4 WEP Keys to use on my network. Once they are saved, I can go back into the Card manager, see them and the change them. I guess it all depends on the Card/Card Manager. |

MadHadder is right...it depends a LOT on the card/connection manager. apple iBook? i have no friggin clue. if you are using Windows XP's built in manager, I am pretty sure you are S.O.L. (although, nowing M$ it is stored plaintext somewhere in the registry or a file.) Win9x/Me/2K depends on the client software...let us know what you have and I will see what I can figure out.

Welp, if you've put it on a Mac, it's stored and you can't get it. But my question is, how'd you get it in the first place? Obviously someone wold you what the key was to got onto the network with your iBook in the first place. So I would suggest that you just ask whomever told you, or find the piece of paper that it was on.
Will running some searches on this topic, I came across this site and thought you might like it: http://www.ibookzone.com/linksys.shtml Hope this helps...sorry if it doesn't ...necronom...

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but I figure its better than starting a new one.
(I know this is a OSX thread but) Does anyone know how I can retrieve my WEP key from my eMac OS 9.2, and if it can be retrieved how can I stop people from doing so. (Does the pong attack work against Airports?) Thanks
