So I finally got up the courage and tried KisMAC's "Sleep Mode" pref option which edit's and swaps the kernel.
It worked fine and now when checking the "Do Not Go to Sleep" option I can run around with the iBook completely closed and go stumbling. A damn big improvement on my old "stick something between the case and monitor" and go stumbling. bb |

let me know if you have any problems at all. i was going to try that but i was so scared of the dire warning. i should warn you, i used to put a magazine between the screen and keyboard, now my screen has a few little 'bubbles' i have been told may be due to heat also it will no longer shut and latch (if only KisMac had been around 6 months ago.) oh well, in a year i will probably upgrade to a new G4 iBook or TiBook.
