I'm not sure.. It's either that, or the Blue Peter show (Pre-school "hacking" with papiermâché, and such)...

I know devine (apparently) doesn't stop by here anymore, but perhaps another aircrack aficionado can help answer my question.

Is there something unique about aireplay attacks 0 and 1 as compared to 2, 3, and 4? 0 and 1 are locking up my card and laptop (Auditor installed to HD, Proxim "dork" card with atheros chipset, patched madwifi driver) while attacks 2, 3, and 4 work fine. Of course, Those attacks don't do much good without already having something useful from 0 or 1.

Also, these attacks have worked previously, and I have not changed the drivers since then. I've used version 2.3 and have not upgraded to 2.4. Any ideas about why those two attacks would lock up the card?

Fixed. Booting to the kernel with the patched drivers helps. Thanks Dutch.

What chipset? Once you determine that, have you patched the drivers as appropriate? That will determine what you can and cannot do.

Eth1 is not your wireless card. Linux has set eth2 as your wireless, notice how that's the one with the wireless extensions loaded.

Also run iwpriv against eth2 and see if it lists monitor as being supported

Use supported chipset and drivers that has RFMON mode.

Run iwpriv ethx to see if 'monitor' is listed if it's not listed then the card cannot be set to run in monitor mode. This could be due to the wrong ethx or improperly compiled driver, wrong driver, etc. Didn't I already mention this? Oh yeah I did.

x = numerical value of wireless card (eth0, eth1, eth2, etc)

There's your answer fishbulb. monitor isn't in that list so that's
A. not your wireless card
or
B. you didn't patch/compile the drivers properly

There's no way you'll get that card into monitor mode configured the way it is now.
