AirSnort on Windows

Well folks, they claim to have some sort of functionality. Anyone game to try this out? I'm going to look at it in my "free time".

Cool!

Wow, thanks for the heads up nashr!

I will try it myself as well. Been playing with Kismet (damn cisco drivers can blow gotez...ORiNOCO is the way to go, I guess) and Aeropeek. I have not yet tried airsnort on any platform. How does it stack up against Kismet?

I keep getting errors when tring to get the required windows.mak
and source files off their CVS server.

I think I'll wait a little longer until they at least get to Beta 2.

It doesn't. They're complimentary applications, they don't exactly serve the same purpose. A more direct comparison could be made between Wellenreiter and Kismet.

Wellenreiter Hands Down.....
It scans / finds AP faster then Kismet.
It even has a better GUI.

It certainly looks nice.

I guess I need to do some testing with Wellenreiter, I couldn't find any compelling reason to use it instead of Kismet. I like the speech output, GPSmap, and integration with GPSdrive/MySQL, but I'll definately give W another go soon. BTW, You can change the hop rate of Kismet if it's not fast enough for you

I'm not sure which app you're talking about so:
Kismet -yes, there are different versions for Sharp and OZ ROMs
Wellenreiter -yes, but it crashes when it encounters an encrypted AP. At least, that's what the release notes say, I can't make it work at all...
Airsnort -no

Do you have it working? I can't even get it installed since migrating to the new Sharp ROM. It looks like their forum has vanished along with the website redesign...
