I haven't installed it yet due to the usual Perl module dependency thing, but it sounds interesting. How do you like it godlike?

I like it alot. I use kismet all the time and it really makes it easier while driving. You can use the mouse and just click on the connects and get more info, the compass is also a nice feature. Its worth a look.

Got GKismet running after rolling back to an older version of expat (v1.95.4) and installing audiofile and esound. I've also had to reconfigure kismet.conf to allow the server to handle the speech synth. Was it worth my time? Maybe not yet... I like the convenience of using the keyboard to navigate through the panels interface, but I haven't tried the AP finder/compass feature yet, and that was the main draw- the one that comes with Kismet is tricky to view...

The author says a new version is due in a few days, now that Kismet 3.0 is out.

To get gKismet working in Red Hat (including RH9), you must install a couple of packages. This applies to all versions of gKismet.

gtkglarea-1.2.2-16.1.i386.rpm
Gtk-Perl-0.7008-31.i386.rpm

Once you install these packages, gKismet should work for you. The packages provide the Gnome.pm file you see in the error message.

It also seems you need kismet running in order to run GKismet. At least for me. Without Kismet running, GKismet won't connect to the kismet_server.
