I have been unable to resume the airodump file because that is not possable in ver 2.1. If there is a way to resume please let me know!

2) i think if you just start capturing again and then join the files togeather, it will work just fine

What should i believe now?

Well if you were to read and comprehend you would see that it does not resume. The second post you referenced talks about merging two capture files ("join the files togeather"), NOT resuming!

Indeed, it's not answered in the aircrack documentation. Gotta add it.

If you specify the same output filename then airodump will append packets to it, not overwrite it (contrary to tcpdump which truncates pcap files by default).
