create ap w/ linux
Hi, i have a pcmcia swap box reader in a spare pc, my question is, if i put a wifi card in there, are there any version of linux that would just load off a cd and create an ap using the card. I know there are cd versions that can take an ap and put a firewall infront of it, just not sure about doin this tho. The only reason i want to is becuase my friend said he would sell me his netgear card for like 20$ and i dont have an ap.

I think the LNX-BBC Bootable business card might be able to do it.
Link is at www.linuxiso.org You might want to look into Knoppix / Morphix / Damn Small Linux / WarBSD and Warlinux. |
