driftnet wireless patch ??

Hi guys, I've been looking for the patch to allow driftnet to work on promiscious wifi interfaces. I've googled, and have found the following url which looks promising, http://www.opendarwin.org/pipermail/...ly/019442.html but I can't seem to get this to compile.

Can any of you guys, either post another url if you know of one or even better the patched source code.

I'm using Auditor from http://new.remote-exploit.org/index.php/Auditor_main.

Any help appreciated as this looks like a fun tool.

Try contacting the driftnet author over at freshmeat. This is the Netstumbler forums, not the Driftnet forums.

this is the unix forum I think... I didn't know netstumbler can run under unix/linux

Many thanks for the replies guys, I have tried contacting the author directly, and I know that netstumbler doesn't run on linux.

Driftnet has been discussed in these forums many times before, I am just seeking advice from the like minded folk who use these tools and who frequent these boards.

No, this is the Netstumbler.org forums, and this is the *nix subsection of the forums section dealing with software.

As the forum section header say :
Software
Discussion forum for non-Netstumbler wireless auditing or wireless related software.

It's not a help center, nor a support center, but a Discussion forum.
Need help in configuring a specific hardware unit, or software program, then head over to the hardware manufacturer or software developers website.

Want to discuss or ask advice about a particular piece of hardware or software in relation to wireless auditing, i.e. pros & cons, comparison to similar tools on the same or other platforms, etc, then this is the place.

But it ISN'T a general WiFi support site for whatever piece of goddamn software/hardware you've heard about.
