emacs kismet.conf not working??
RH 7.2
WPC11 v.1 Gateway solo 2550 ./configure --disable-setuid make dep make make install make suidinstall Emacs kismet.conf to: suiduser=thomas source=prism2,wlan0,prism2source *also tried source=prism2_legacy,wlan0,prism2source *source=prism2,eth0,prism2source *source=prism2,eth0,prism gps=false #kismet_monitor -H #kismet_server then I get: Source 0 (ciscosource): using pcap to capture packets from eth0 Source 0 (ciscosource): Attempting to enter monitor mode Enabling monitor mode for a cisco card on eth0 Why does kismet think I have a cisco card? on the #kismet_monitor -H command, what is it supposed to spit out? I always get: kismet_monitor - kismet helper script called by kismet directly kismet_monitor DEVICE TYPE After i run kismet_monitor -H i do a #iwpriv eth0 eth0 no private ioctls So I have this nagging feeling that RH 7.2 does not ship with the right drivers?? Thanks in advance |

version 3.0.1
#kismet_monitor eth0 prism2 /usr/local/bin/kismet_monitor: wlanctl-ng : command not found /usr/local/bin/kismet_monitor: wlanctl-ng : command not found /usr/local/bin/kismet_monitor: wlanctl-ng : command not found /usr/local/bin/kismet_monitor: wlanctl-ng : command not found I'll try to find out what this means. Oh well, kismet_monitor eth0 prism2 is one more piece to the puzzle. Thanks again! |
