firmware change
is it possible to change the firmware of my orinoco gold card while in linux? whindows is being a pain and won't let me change to the one i want.
the firmware on the card now it 8.10 or 6.06. those are the only ones windows will let me do. i want to chage to 7.28 or even 7.52. can this be done??

Not that I know of. The only one I know of that provides this option is Cisco.

the first wlan-ng prism2 drivers also had a firmware flash util, prism2dl

I highly recommend 6.16. Had no problems flashing from 8.10 w/ Winter 2002 drivers. The new FW version won't show up after flashing until you load the old drivers. The new driver just does a firmware overlay of some kind and says it's still 8.10 from client manager.
