i cant find any good wlan config software for linux can anyone suggest something

If the console commands aren't to your liking (hint: scripts and aliases are your friends,) you might try something like KWiFiManager KWiFiManager. I've seen similar projects at Sourceforge, try searching for "802.11" or "wireless."
