It would be advantageous to see if this error was fixed. |

Try "gpsmap -v -l ssid bssid -L 0 -G -t -S 2 *.gps" Leave the spaces in between the options. Might also wnat to try it with a different map database. Terraserver looks cool, -S 3

Nope, not really. I've been using the Jiggle client from wigle.net for my mapping needs.

I am installing the newest one... i got it to find the map, i had to rename the map files that it downloaded, and then it started to process it just fine, until it gets down to the part where is labels the Ap's and it gives me a "cannot read font" error, and then a segmentation fault and stops
i have tried numerous variations of the code, and it always end in a segmentation fault... any ideah's?

Well, good news, i got it to work.
Since i am using a knoppix boot cd (installed to the HD) i am using debian. So i hopped over to http://packages.debian.org and got the debian package of Imagemagick and it worked! btw it need these dependancies also: libmagick5_5.4.4.5-1woody4_i386.deb which needs: liblcms_1.08-3_i386.deb libpng2_1.0.12-3.woody.9_i386.deb libwmf0.2-2_0.2.2-4_i386.deb liblcms needs to have a --auto-deconfigure switch to get it to install if it is having problems. now it works just fine! good luck, let us know if this works for you too
