IPW2200 Injection working (sort of)

This thread http://tinyshell.be/aircrackng/forum...php?topic=25.0 on the aircrack-ng forum shows how to get a basic form of packet injection working with aircrack-ng and centrino ipw2200 (specifically with ipw2200-1.1.1). Has anyone else tried it? I've patched and compiled and can confirm that the driver and interfaces work. But has anyone figured out how to get aireplay working in anything other than -2 (interactive selection) mode?

I can post a more elaborate howto if anyone else wants to give it a try, though none of the posts on the forum are mine by any means...

Edit: for anyone who wants to try, you need the following:
No help on untarring, configuring, patching, making, or running these various packages of course. If you want to try it that badly but don't know how to patch or compile you need to learn a few other things before you try this: not because it is particularly difficult, not at all. Simply put, you have work for it, work to understand what you are doing, and truly have a desire to learn on your own.

Note that the rtap patch will throw an error. Check the line number Compile away.

I'll be happy if you can post a howto like stuff..Actually I applied the patches and compiled stuff but still there's no big change. I guess what we have to do is buying a nicer card instead of googling for a solution
