Kismet Problems

Ok...I have an Orinoco card whose drivers were patched last night. At one time this morning I had got Kismet to run but it wouldn't find my hope AP.

I exited out of Kismet and restarted services so I could search for solutions, but now when I try to start kismet again I get errors.

Done. Run kismet_unmonitor or eject and re-insert your card (or restart your
pcmcia services) to return your card to normal operation.

Also when I type in iwpriv or lsmod to see setting or even ifconfig I get 'command not found'

If more information is needed let me know what I need to post. But some help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
J

Looks like you set it up to run only as root instead of regular user. Su to to root and edit kismet.conf so that a regular user can run it, instructions are in the comments of the conf file.
