Can anyone give me some direction on installing a Microsoft USB Wifi adapter (I know, it's what I already had) on a Compaq laptop running FC3. The USB adapter is model 3 MN-510. Hardware Browser sees the usb adapter, including model number, but I've not been able to figure out what settings I need to use.
I'm a newbie to Linux, I installed FC3 less than a week ago, and have most things working, except for sound (which was working) , and the usb adapter. I have been able to get wired networking to work. Tommy Last edited by tomcatt1 : 01-24-2005 at 12:09 PM. |

Alternatively, does anyone know which brand and model number of USB wifi adapters that definetely works with FC3? My PCMCIA slot does not work, or I would use that. The slot did not work when using XP either, so the slot not working is not a Linux problem.
Thanks Tommy Last edited by tomcatt1 : 01-24-2005 at 12:11 PM. |

You need to use the drivers from linux-wlan.org I don't think HostAP supports USB yet...
