Angry Orinoco >> Senao ?!

I have finally gotten my Senao EXT2 working in kismet with perfect stability (using wlan-ng drivers, hostAP will NOT compile for me no matter what I try). My ORiNOCO with no extra antenna gets about 100-110 SNR, but the Senao WITH a powerful cantenna only is getting around 70 SNR... is there anything that could cause the Senao to underperform? I'm a little disappointed in this card, though I haven't actually taken it out on a wardrive yet.

Anyone else experiencing something similar? Or perhaps you are getting opposite results with the Senao getting a much higher SNR than your ORiNOCO?

Most of the cards just give back random results for these measurements when they are in monitor mode. Don't worry about it, and see what the card actually does when you use it.

Yeah, it seems the Senao is actually a little more sensitive, in the sense that it needs less signal to pick up and hold on to an AP... i.e., the SNR numbers are generally lower than those of the ORiNOCO, but I get more AP's with the Senao.
