problem updating drivers...wlan-ng
equipment: laptop/802.11 pcmcia card/mandrake 10.0

I am trying to update the wireless drivers for my 802.11b nic. Currently installed is the wlan-ng driver v0.2.1-pre18a (as reported by dmesg when I insert the card).

I downloaded the v0.2.1-pre20 tarball, ran /configure, make, and make install and all appeared to go fine.

After rebooting, dmesg still reports v0.2.1-pre18 being loaded for the card.

I must be missing something here...

Ended up having to delete all the prism modules from every location on the pc (different kernel builds). Then it would install.
