Question Ralink RT2570 card and Aireplay: can't succed to speed up IVs catching...

Hi all,
I'm using a Linksys WUSB54G v4 with Gentoo (kernel 2.6.15-r7).
I'm using latest CVS drivers from rt2x00.serialmonkey.com for it and the card is working correctly when connected to the APs...
I'm gonna try to hack my WLAN WEP key for a little review I have to written on it...
so, I've put the card in Monitor mode, enabled RFMONTX, started airodump-ng to get patckets...but IVs increase very slowly...
I knew that I needed something as 1.000.000 IVs for a 128bit key...well, just using Aerodump for getting packets that another wireless card is exchanging with AP is not enough...it would get too much time to get 1.000.000 IVs...

so I decided to try Aireplay-ng (mode 2) to injects some packets into the W-Lan...tried this way (correct me if I'm wrong):
./aireplay -i rausb0 rausb0 -2

(rausb0 is the devID of the WUSB54G adapter)

but every packet I choose selecting "y", doesn't speed up IVs count in Airodump-ng....

I've also tried mode 3 and even if Aireplay-ng found some ARP requests and begun to generate a lot of traffic, IVs on Airdump-ng still increase slowly only thanks to the traffic generated from the other card on the W-LAN...

am I missing something?

I'm also getting this error when starting Aireplay-ng:

ioctl(RTC_IRQP_SET) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Make sure enhanced rtc device support is enabled in the kernel (module
rtc, not genrtc) - also try 'echo 1024 >/proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq'.

could this be the problem?

Thanks for help

You should check the forums at aircrack-ng and serialmonkey... the beta_3 drivers are better for aircrack. The new rt2x00 are highly experimental and are undergoing heavy testing for basic support. Packet injection is not high on their list of bugs right now.

Read the nice logo at the very top of the forums, it says Netstumbler. You might want to head over to the aircrack forums and get the support you're looking for from there.

Don't bother posting here if you can't follow the rules.
