recover root pw?
its hard to say this without people thinking Im being militious but I havent wardrove in a good time and my laptop dualboots FC2 and xp, I ran all my WDing apps on my regular user... named 'user' and user does belong to the root group but I forgot my root PW(yeah Im stupid) So seeing I can log on my user level account and it belongs to the root group is there anyway I can crack my PW? Im running Fedora Core 2. Need anyother info just ask.

yeah i just booted to single and did passwd root and changed it that way thanks. =)
edit: forgot to mention that i think fedora has some protection on my user account because after attempting to log into root 15 or so times with diff passwords i logged in user and it only had read access do the HD so I couldnt edit the passwd file and the shadow file.
