running kismet disconnect me from network

Guru's

I have orinoco + RH 9.0 + kismet.

Kismet runs fine. But while kismet is running, i automatically get disconnected from the network. ie, i cannot browse to google niether can i ping the gateway.

Any help appreciated

If you are running kismet, your card is hopping channels. This will not allow you to stay associated with your AP or network connections.

its worse than that his card is in monitor mode and u cant transmit in monitor mode

please use the search button on the forums this is all common knowledge
