I finally got everything working.. and it does work fine.. EXCEPT, this keeps flooding my screen:
"Received monitor frame: FCSerr set" Please help! It's the newest Kismet on Debian Woody with 2.4.18 kernel and the airsnort orinoco patches.. This is with a D-Link card. |

does the d-link card use orinoco_cs? I thought it was one of the prism-based cards, which would be a source of your problem; but hell, with all the lucent knockoffs out there...

should be using wlan-ng driver
indeed.
orinoco_cs is for Lucent/Orinoco/Agere and various rebrands. D-link is based on Prism2/2.5/3 chipset and uses wlan-ng driver (which does not require snax patch, as monitor mode is built in). see: http://www.linux-wlan.com/linux-wlan/ -novocane |
