Tools for determining WEP strength?
Wasn't sure where else to post this question:
Anyone know if there is a tool, or a technique, out there to scan an access point and determine what WEP encryption strength it is using? I haven't seen anything to date - but we have a client that is interested in auditing their wireless network to see if all the admins have implemented 128-bit as a matter of policy. Of course there is the manual way to accomplish this, but if a tool existed, it might be easier. Thanks- 802 |

The only thing I've heard about is Dstumbler, part of the BSD-airtools, it's supposed to be able to detect 40 bit.
Here is how their doing it. http://lists.dachb0den.com/pipermail...ly/000394.html |
