WPA Supplicant and Orinoco 0.13e

Hello,

I'm trying to compile WPA supplicant for a card that works with Orinoco 0.13e patched drivers.

There is no driver_hermes.c file in the package, as mentioned in the README.

The thing is, that I've been searching a lot, but I cant find the correct driver_hermes.c file to compile di WPA supplicant.

Maybe someone can post a link

Thanks for help.

In a nutshell...

Quote:
Please read the wpa_supplicant README file.. Due to unclear license on
the driver_hermes.c file, it is not distributed with wpa_supplicant and
you will need to download it directly from Agere.

The best way to do it is to patch the orinoco drivers to get rfmon. Then compile the Agere drivers (wlags49) and the wpa-supplicant.

Use the Agere drivers for WPA connectivity and then when you need rfmon just rename wlags49.conf to wlags49.no and reboot. You'll then have rfmon and can use apps that require monitor mode. Then when you are done, rename wlags49.no back to wlags49.conf and reboot to get WPA capability again.
