what could the problem me? Maybe I need pcap... Wellm tell me if I do, i'm not realy into Linux and this advanced stuff. :-) But the router works great! Just want some more tools in the firmware. Like sniffers and such. Is there any for that works great with wrt54gs and hyerwrt? A

Yeah, I got the same; wl monitor 1 does nothing to solve the problem either. I'll give it a go later with either an earlier version of sveasoft or OpenWRT some time soon...

I know with sveasoft alchemy rc6 firmware you have to change the source from wrt54g,eth1,wrt45g to wrt54g,prism0,wrt54g.

Check your ifconfig settings, I tried all the interfaces.

Im attaching my config for v2 of of the WRT54G v2.

Also I changed my IP access in my config so you might have to change it to your settings.
Attached Files
File Type: zip kismet_drone.zip (2.4 KB, 101 views)

Updated the guide with that little tidbit from imonfya

Ver 0.2.1 is up.

Side note: Curious that sveasoft is using what appears to be a prism driver on a broadcom card. I wonder if they're rolling thier own driver or have something modded that we don't know about yet?

Extra side note: Anyone got ideas on how to orginize the guide? It's getting a bit long.

Split it up into chapters. Have it for different versions/distros of the firmware, and just have an index page for the guide.

I believe they are aiming toward a unified firmware for the WRT series equipment. The WRT54AG has a Prism radio unit. (the 55AG has Atheros, and the 54G has Broadcom).

Going to need a bit more information than that. Error messages, on Kismet and/or the drone might help.

I updated to kismet_client lastest version. And it workt great!!!

Now I have some problem. When I connecting to the kismet_drone I getting:

WARNING: Client fd ring 5 buffer full, packet dropt

Its flooding the screen with that message. Is there some files I should remove?
I'm using openwrt, and I dont have df or find so I can search for it.

Means that the router saw a garbage packet. Pay it no mind.

In other news:

Version 0.2.2 is up. Split the guide into chapters for each firmware and added a few sections. Generally cleaning up the thing.

This thing could be a book very easily

The drone binaries I have in the guide should work on a GS unit as well. Just make sure you use a firmware that is for the GS. There should be no differences (Though I can't check since I don't have a GS unit)
