I know there are problems with this - funkey new software to make your card not come on when you want it to.

any body got ideas on this

Set up an extra ad-hoc connection in your network control panel, and bring it up when you want to run Kismet.

The new ROM is certainly an improvement, I like the way it forces numerical keys in the IP address fields and elsewhere, it's a nice touch...
