nearing 300 free wireless hotspots now!
A couple of announcements for NetStumbler...
As of October 1, 2004, Bay Area Free WiFi is nearing 300 free hotspots in the San Francisco area. Over 75 free wi-fi locations in San Francisco alone! Also, the Bay Area wiPod (an iPod-based field guide to wi-fi enabled hotspots in San Francisco and beyond) has over 100 more free wi-fi locations than the previous version! And, we're in the process of bringing free wifi listings to other areas now! Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, and Portland are first on the list. Stay tuned for more! You might also have noticed that FreeFi has a new look. We're innovating and want to involve you more in the process! In addition to heading to new regions... New features include: Bay Area wiPod 1.2, Images and Comments, Guest submitted reviews of wifi cafes & other locations, and new XML feeds. |

San Francisco aims for free citywide WiFi
CNN just put up this on their website. I think they are a little slow at the news.
