Dell axim/wifi/mac address

I'm trying to find out how to edit the Mac Address on a Dell axim X50v. I've tried all the tricks including hacking the registry to no avail. I keep hearing about MACspoof, but can't find anything anywhere. if anyone has any idea's, other than what has already been posted in other threads, I would greatly appreciate it.

Take a look HERE, they have some PPC tools. See if any of them will do it, I haven't looked at these in a while though.

I appreciate the replies so far, however I've already checked these out. I think I've got part of it traced today, but it's written in hex, and I don't know how to write hex for mac address. it's within the registry. I was trying through the com under HKLM, but that wasn't doing it. again, I'm still stuck, fortunately, I'm stubborn

I may be mistaken, but aren't all MAC addresses inherently notated in Hex?

Just curious, why do you want to change your MAC? Don't like the one you got?

And clearly you aren't one of them.. Because if you were, you would have figured it out, instead of trying to get others to do it for you.

Nice, you changed your original message.

I don't remember everything you said before you changed, it but it was something to the effect that you didn't want to have to reconfigure for all the different networks you connect to.

Funny, I've never had to reconfigure my MAC address on any of my machines to connect to the various networks that I have permission to connect to.

BS Meter going up.

I wonder if one of the mods could bring it back?

i think he was on irc the other day. he said all the ap's he connects to (all friends of his) have mac filtering. but he doesnt want to have to have all his friends add his new mac. Seems legit. The way I look at it, all his friends were nice enough to let him on, now he needs them to allow this new device to connect and he doesnt want to be a PITA to them.

Umm, yeah, gee, it takes all of 15 seconds to add a MAC into the filter. What a pain.
